In Alberta, there is no longer a difference! Nutritionist is a ‘protected title’ – meaning, only dietitians can call themselves nutritionists. What's the difference between ‘nutritionist’ and ‘dietitian’?.(You save $15 per appointment by booking as a package, or $175 for the initial and $150 for the follow up). Additional follow ups after package completion are $165. However, we do offer single initial assessments for $190. We don’t recommend ‘one-off’ appointments as we know from experience it isn’t conducive to successful nutrition interventions. Good news! Appointments purchased outside of a package are $190 for the initial assessment and $165 for a follow up. The per appointment fee for packages are $175 for the initial assessment, and $150 for the follow up. Regardless, they are considered a tax-deductible medical expense if they don’t end up being covered.
